VOLUNTEER - Cultures of Sexuality and Black Men’s Health - Black Gay Men’s Summit  
   
   


The African and Caribbean Council on HIV/AIDS in Ontario (ACCHO) is organizing the
Ontario Black Gay Men’s Summit as part of its work to mobilize African, Caribbean and
Black communities in Ontario in responding to HIV.

The Summit will be held at the Ramada Plaza Hotel, 300 Jarvis Street, Toronto, Ontario from Friday, March 26th to Sunday, March 28th, 2010.

ACCHO is looking to recruit volunteers to assist in planning and coordinating the
Summit. As a volunteer, you will work with the Summit Consultant and the ACCHO
Volunteer Coordinator in one of the following areas:

Pre-summit preparation
Onsite management
Registration
Summit set-up and breakdown

Ability to speak English and French would be considered an asset.

Note-takers Recruitment

Date posted: March 4th, 2010 Deadline: March 12th, 2010Number of positions: 3The African and Caribbean Council on HIV/AIDS in Ontario (ACCHO) is organizing the Ontario Black Gay Men’s Summit as part of its work to mobilize African, Caribbean and Black communities in Ontario in responding to HIV and AIDS.   The Summit will be held at the Ramada Plaza Hotel, 300 Jarvis Street, Toronto, Ontario from Friday, March 26th to Sunday, March 28th, 2010.  ACCHO is looking to recruit individuals to assist in note-taking and report writing for the Summit.  As a note-taker, you will work with the Summit Consultant as follows:

  1. Take notes of summit sessions over the three days of the event
  2. Accurately document the summit sessions
  3. Prepare a short report for each of the sessions based on your notes
  4. Assist with the summit evaluation process
